Description
Clouds swept calmly through the sky, grabbing hold of the last few moments of sunlight as evenings comes earlier with each passing day. The moon clear, crisp, and radiant. Rising before the day’s unerring end.
"Moonswept in Monochrome" depicts a breathtaking landscape, a vast expanse of rolling hills, and mist-shrouded valleys bathed in the silver light of the moon. The monochromatic palette adds to the dreamlike quality of the scene, creating a sense of stillness and peacefulness.
The rolling hills seem to stretch out into infinity, and the viewer can almost feel the crisp night air on their face. The clouds, like soft tendrils of smoke, seem to be reaching out, as if to embrace the moon, while the shadows they cast create depth and texture in the photograph.
The scene evokes a sense of wonder and awe, reminding us of the beauty and majesty of the natural world. The contrast between the dark shadows and the bright light of the moon creates a sense of balance, and the quiet stillness of the scene invites us to pause and reflect.
My intention with “Moonswept in Monochrome" is to inspire and encourage us to appreciate the beauty of the world around us and to find peace in its simple yet profound moments.

This moody image is my selection for Pick of the Day in the Best of Minimalism group for December 10. I like the interest the diagonals of the clouds add.
